Welcome David,

If you have room to put something down on a work bench,

It is still too clean.

Nice shop though.

I always heard that a clean desk is a sign of someone who isn't doing anything.

If my shop was that clean, I'd have alot more room. That's just a lite dusting according to my shop.

My shop might look that good if I had time to clean it. About every 6 months, I spend almost the whole day cleaning and throwing out stuff. Seems the throwed out stuff just kinda walks in by itself, then breeds or something. I haven't got that one figured out yet.

You have a really fine shop. It is nice to see a shop worked in.
But keeping it neat and clean is not a bad thing either.
It is one of those things I need to work on!!
They say it only takes 21 days to develop a habit.
So I am trying to never turn out the lights in the evening before I have swept the floor. Will have to see if it becomes habit? It could be a safety issue as well?

The safety issue might depend on which end of the shop the light switch is on, I'd guess!:D :)

Why a safety issue? Are you afraid the lights will overheat and burn the place down because you never turn them off? :D

David,

It looks like you still have flat surface available. I know it's time to clean the shop when I can't find anyplace to set down my glue bottle. Your entire outfeed table is clear ... sheesh.

:D Actually I was thinking about this old feeble guy stubbing his toe and hitting his head(since the hair is gone, it gouges easily) while reaching for the remote for the TV.
Living in the house with the wife, Daughter and Two granddaughters, I have to spend time in the shop in order to watch my Nascar Races.
I need to get the shop cleaned up and orderly, so I have a place to put my recliner. After all the hardest part of any woodworking project is the planning.

I'd lose the whole pizza, delivery person, and their vehicle in my shop....and the vehicle would just barely fit.

Definately time to break out the broom, if I can find it. :D

Ya know, Lou, your shop wouldn't be nearly as cramped if you didn't have things like an aircraft carrier for a jointer, or a bandsaw that could cut a house in half. :D

David, your shop does indeed look worked in, but it's by no means dirty. Nice looking setup.
