Here is another box I made from some wonderful wood that my wife bought for me. Some of you may remember the tool box I made for my son. This is the last of that wonderful wood. I built this box in May for an art show over the Mother's Day weekend and was fortunate enough to win the 3-dimensional division.

This box is a little less than 4" square and 7" tall not including the handle made from walnut.

I attached a second picture showing a closeup of the lid as I was very proud of the fit I was able to get..... :o

Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments. I appreciate them a lot... :o

Hey, Don, in my case I have to work while the sunshines which for me is the Spring, Summer and Fall as I abhor the cold. I do have a lot of projects coming out but heck I gave up TV, I have been married for 35 years so I am not needed in the house, so I woodwork for a couple of hours each night. I am always amazed at how much I am able to get done in short spurts like that. Right now I have 12 projects underway in the shop on the flatwork side, just boxes and small projects like that. When the glue is drying or the finish is curing I go to my lathe and turn small things.... A man has to keep busy and I must say I am still in love with wood and woodworking.... :D
