I would like to try building some wood lamps. I thought I saw a small Japanese style lamp (with amber colored diffusers) in Wood Magazine a while back but dang if I can find that - probably loaned it out. Does anyone recall seeing that - it looked simple at the time?

Also, is there any good books with easier lamps plans in it - Japanese, mission, arts and crafts etc. I know some of those can get really tricky with the small parts and the joints. I was hoping for a book with some simpler ones to get me started - Any recommendations?

I am getting a used WoodRat in the next few weeks so maybe some of these would be good projects to try the Rat out on.
