The price is good...BUT:

The sticks are short - 3' to 5'. Often means cutoffs....from lots of different sticks. Mahogany is great for many reasons but color uniformity from tree to tree or region to region is NOT one those reasons. If your project(s) require a fair amount of uniform colored mahog, you might do better to pay a bit more but get uniform coloring at a local yard.

many times the shorts are clear, but, have very irregualr grain....which equals unstable. Not always...but normally....thats why they were cut off....to make higher grade material in the appropriate guidelines.

Unfortunately the delivery costs would prolly kill me. :p

But seriously, my nearest supplier, (the only one WoodFinder lists that is closer than 150 miles), sells Hondo for $11.50/bf.

The cheapest in Florida is Friendly Forest Products in Miami, (260 miles away), @ $5.60/bf plus shipping.

Tom,
ave you checked with Chipmonk hardwoods in Edgewater, near Daytona? I think they are nearer $7.00. Alva Hardwoods in Alva, near FtMyersm does not have any listed on their website but are worth a call if you've not already called them. My shop is 25 miles from Edgewaer and they are a pretty good bunch to work with. Feel free to pm me for URLs.
