Wood from Steve.
It is about 15 3/4" long and the head is 2 3/4" in diameter. No finish applied yet. There is a small crack about an inch long where the handle widens out to become the head. Do I need to do something about this? What finish would be best?

I have not turned anything out of OO that did not crack. Fill with CA asap. Great stuff to turn and requires no sanding but cracks like crazy.
