Anybody using the Hone-Mate?

I was looking through ads in the new FWW issue and found this product "Hone-Mate". Of course I have never seen the ad because I didn't have a Jointer until 2 weeks ago. It seems simple but that's usually when I get in trouble. Simple never seems to be simple to me. Any users out there? It's sold through Woodworkers Supply.

I had one when I had a knifed machine. I used it but, I never really noticed much improvement. Perhaps I didn't use it often enough as the knives were generally beyond repair with such a fine grit by the time I noticed a reduction in cut quality. Once the knife had lost its geometry, more aggressive methods were required.

I have one. Pretty much worthless, IMHO. Fool me once.......

Like the others, I had one years ago, absolutely no benefit to me, much benefit to the toolmaker who sold it.
