I know they have been discontinued but does anyone know where I could locate a Dewalt DW715 type 1 or 2 - or - a Dewalt DW716 type 1, 2, 3, or 4? These are the ones that hold the LED worklight that casts a shadow where the sawblade will cut.

"For additional accuracy and ease of use, this saw is compatible with the DEWALT DW7187 adjustable miter saw laser system, which ensures that the cutting path is clear to see."

I went through this with the 715 last week. Turns out my local Lowes had a type 2 (Mexico) on display, and a type 3 (Taiwan) in the box below. Seems they don't change the display very often.

PS: How about the places that sell refurbished units?

how will you use it ,what for and where . for instance i have a 12" milwaukee that hooked to 4" line of a dust collector leaves little dust, has a great digital display for miters but is big and heavy . then again if your eyes are dimming you may need a laser . or are you going to move it from job to job so a smaller saw would be better .
