I finally got a day to move my 3 hp Powermatic dust collector out of the shop & add the cyclone to it. Works great. I had the dust collector given to me & bought the cyclone off e-bay for something like $138. I have to cut vent holes for air/heat return for the winter, but at 90 degrees it can stay out for a while. I can hear the stereo at last.

How is all that plastic working out for you? I think I may have finally decided to go S&D for my DC piping--it just looks much easier to work.

How do you activate your DC? Blast gate or remote control or flip it on in the morning, turn it off at night? :)

The plastic works fine. Right now I'm just using the breaker for a switch seeing as it is centrally located.

What is the name of the company for the cyclone. I would rather deal direct and not on ebay.

I have seen them and wondered about their quality.

Same gauge as one of the kits I was looking at & for less money. All the seams are riveted & soldered. It came packaged well, no dents like the kit had. I'm happy so far.
