What does the manufacturer of the PVC trim say to use? If you can't get any info. from them, go talk to someone at Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore. I'm sure they both make products for that material.

PVC material like Azek or Versatex (my preference) can be painted with regular acrylic latex house paint. I use the sheets to carve exterior signs on my CNC router and I have had no paint problems so far. The brand I have used is Behr semigloss exterior house paint.

Use high-quality exterior latex or acrylic house paint, like those available from Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore.

Speaking of Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore, check out this link on Versatex PVC trim, which gives prep. instructions and actual product recommendations:

Great link, Art! Our trim has the SW Duration on it...and it will likely far outlive our occupancy of this property! Good stuff....
