Take a look at this..........

Now see the cutout in the floor where he is doing turnings up to 10 ft. diameter....:eek:......piece-a-cake, huh! ;):D JK says he has a built in steady with the ceiling :rolleyes:.

Yikes, I hope it never breaks loose. There is a lot of momentum in that piece even at only a few RPM. Look at his image gallery. Mostly burls with lots of empty spaces. Very nice looking stuff.

I remember seeing a couple more pictures of that turning, it is actually a board he is turning, and my thought and answer in the threat about it, was that he could probably have used a router to get the same result and would have been much safer, but surely not as impressive or exciting as turning a large plank like that.
