I anchored to a black painted brass tube using Thin CA, trimmed ends with tin snips, cast in in Polyester resin, squared ends using disk sander, turned, sanded 400 grit only, buffed with extra fine steel wool, polished with Huts Ultra Gloss and dressed up in a Black Titanium/Platinum Elegant Beauty Sierra.

I wouldn't say "original"(this is not an original either - a pencil version) (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?195341-It-Didn-t-Include-the-Kitchen-Sink-But-Close&highlight=) but I would say very well executed and a great looking pen.

Yea Bill I would not go to nuts over an original idea. I have been doing these for many years now and have shown mine as well here. In fact you can get brass flex hose too in the plumbing supply isles. Makes for nice pens. Here is some brass, copper, stainless steel, and chrome.

I took my photos out because I did not want to hijack the OP thread. Probably not nice to do.
