I am working with some Walnut for a bed and haven't decided on a final finish for it. While testing, I applied a couple coats of Sutherland Wells sealer that I had left over from a different project. The effect while still wet and sitting outside with a setting sun for light looked pretty nice. After it dried it still looked good but I'd like to get more of the amber/orange tint that it had when the sealer was first applied. I know that a lot of it had to do with the lighting but does anyone have any suggestions for getting close to this color when dry? Maybe amber shellac?
Thanks,
Erik
