Since this forum is shop made tools, here's a video of my best friend's Son, using a tool he designed for this one job. It's inserting a VERY fragile filter in a VERY sensitive detector. I got to play with an early prototype in his office in the Science Lab at Goddard. This is a Japanese detector. He not only spent the time designing, and working the bugs out of the inserter, but had to fly to Japan for this few minutes work.

Pretty interesting. His tool kinda reminds me of a router lift.

That detector is going up in a balloon. It's way to fragile to survive a rocket launch. The filter fit exactly into a bayonet mount with a press fit, and couldn't touch anything else but its mount on the way in. The noise is the air transfer through the clean room. The clean room they are assembling the James Webb Space Telescope in is something like a 100' cube (just judging by looking at it) with a gantry crane inside it.
