I just wanted to share with you all, the inlay I put in this table. I put 4 butterflies on the top. When the finish hits it, the grain should really POP. A little more sanding this weekend, and then I will apply the die that I will be using. My wife is very excited over this whole thing! Thanks for looking.

Very, very nice Michael, certainly looks heavy duty and grounded. The top really adds a lot of mass to it, what is it 1 1/2" thick.

Inch and 3/4 on the whole table, except the slats on the end...1/2 inch.

Great job! Gustav Stickey would be proud.
Looks like you will need help carrying it into the dinning room.
What kind of finish are you going to use over the dye?

That top is gonna look gooood. Did you mention how you tie it to the base, or does it just sit on top?

That is going to be an absolutely beautiful piece of furniture when it's finished. I think your wife is justified in being excited by it.
Nice work, and be sure to post a pic of the final finished results.
