Here is bottle stopper #2... again with a home made cabochon of amber
acrylic.... I'm getting to like these things.... fun to make...
Stabilized Redwood Burl from BillB and Amber Acrylic from the samples
I got from England (too transparent for a pen, but nice for this)...
Critiques welcome

Looks nice. What is the source of the acrylic? I've been using actual stones, and looking into casting some of my own polyester with swirls, metallic, etc. Never seen that particular acrylic on the market, even with the large wholesale companies.

That quote of yours is a particularly good one, it hangs on a board over my lathe. BTW, it's attributed to St. Francis, in case you didn't have that info.

Gary, that material is part of a sample I got from an English company... it was some stuff I was contemplating for pen material, but was too transparent... and a bit pricey.. If I decide to purchase a bunch I will try to make it available as a kind of group buy system... I will keep you posted.. They have some interesting colors I am going to try from the samples and decide then...
You can actually use any acrylic that is made for pen blanks.

Yes I knew the quote was attributed to St Francis... thanks
