Indian Baskets Numbers 3 & 4

Took a class with Jim Adkins in July. These projects get completed in the house so when I get tired of standing at the lathe I sit and work on these, does take a lot of hours.

Snake skin pattern is 11 x 1 and Squash Blossom is 12 x 1.75 both made with kiln dried hard maple. Comments welcome.

Very nice. These are on my bucket list to do. Just have no idea where to start. Really would like a class or demonstration at a symposium from Jim sometime. Hope he'll be at nationals or the Ohio show soon.

I really like these. Jim was at SWAT showing how to do this. I like the design on the left the best. It is probably because of the colors that make me like it better.

I have not kept track of the time but guessing probably over 30 although I believe I am getting faster at the burning and pattern layout.
