At a local Tractor Fest today:
295873
The wide one is a Jennings 1-1/4" bevel edge
The skinny one is a Stanley Wannabe 3/8" bevel chisel

Just shot almost my entire $6 allowance, have a dollar bill left.

Name a tool, it was there, somewhere. Did not see all that many wood bodied planes. Two hour walk in a few sprinkles of rain.

Not too bad a day...

Not too sure about the Jennings chisel..yet

The No-name 3/8" looks like a stanley wannabe. Chisel part was laying in a box, without a handle. There just happened to be a handle of the right size laying in the same box. Seemed to fit the chisel. IF I had had the extra on hand, I could have got a Handyman 1/2" chisel as well, it needed a handle as well.

Maybe I paid too much for these two?

Jennings was $2, the other was $3. Plus I had to find the handle for the $3 chisel...

I think you did just fine.

Looks like a square deal to me.

I would have jumped on the 3/8" chisel and left the tang chisel for someone else. I do prefer socket chisels. Besides, there are already 4 or more 1-1/4" chisels in my shop.
