Hi,

I am trying to print a job from Corel x6 to Trotec Job Control, but the font is not going across correctly ?

Please see the images below, first one is in Corel, the second is how it looks in Job Control.
Edit: Tested on a piece of wood, it engraves as it looks in Job Control - incorrect.

Any ideas out there please ?

Cheers,
Chris

Have you got another layer under the Italic one in Corel?

No mate, a basic single layer image as per screenshot...

I just checked, the problem is in Corel,

I thought I would try to convert the text to curves, and as soon as I do, it changes the font as it converts to curves.
I've saved the file before converting, and still the same.

This has me stumped.

Closed and re-opened corel, then opened the saved file = same thing.

Pics below show before and after converting to curves...

Is this a font downloaded from the web?

I wonder if your issue isn't the macbook/corel/trotec. Also, are you using a Truetype font?

I just put News 701 BT on my computer, and what I didn't get was a bold or italics option with it. I'm pretty sure both of your examples ARE the same font, even though your screen shows you don't have the italics or bold options either. Why it's displaying italicized, then converting to bold when those options don't appear is pretty weird- I think the font itself is the problem--

Have you experimented using other fonts to see if this problem repeats?

In first image you have italic angle but your font does not support it.
Did you type this or imported the text.
I just tried it my self and using envelope tool I got it slanted, send to JC and it works OK.

Thank you for the idea's people.

I will have a look Monday morning and report back on the font situation.

Cheers,
Chris.
