Hello guys,
This is my first post, so please forgive if I don't do it right. I searched but couldn't find anything related to tungsten rings engraving. Have any of you done diamond drag engraving on a tungsten ring? I googled and got a mix result. Some says only laser can engrave tungsten rings because it's 8 on the hardness scale only behind diamond (9). Some sources say it's possible to engrave with a diamond drag as long as you do multi passes.
If anyone here has done it with a diamond drag please give me some suggestion for which machine or brand. How often do you have to change the diamond tip? etc...Thanks in advance!!!

Bruce Boone would probably be a good source of info on this one...

If it's done with a normal ring engraver with a diamond or carbide stylus, the engraving will be so light that it would be barely visible at all. It is more common to laser engrave them with YAG lasers.
