Hi Mary. I don't know anything about Pen making, but I would like to welcome you to Sawmill Creek.

You may want to move, or repost your post to the General Woodworking and Power Tools Forum, or the Turners Forum. There are a lot of members that are involved in the Freedom Pen Project,and it wouldn't surprise me if there are some pen turners near you.
