Hi,

I'd like to try marking on stainless steel, so I got some Cermark LMM-6000. I've seen on this forum dilution ratios between 6:1 and 10:1 (dna:cermark). The Thermark website suggests 2:1 for foam brush applications. So, if someone could provide some clarification on this I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Ted

There is not "correct" answer. Roughly 10:1 works quite well for me when spraying... you may want thicker if brushing it on, but it's a personal call.

+1 on what Dan said. I like to be able to "see through it" once dried on SS. ALWAYS a crisp dark permanent mark.

Sorry I'm not a lab rat able to break it down to drops per mil.

I make mine the consistency of 2% milk for foam brushing and a little thinner for air brushing.
