I just had 13 White Oak logs quarter sawn. When they’re milled one of the pieces I’m left with are the butts from the trunks. Some of these are rather large and thick.
Does anyone have a suggestion for using them? They’re going to be firewood if I can’t find a good use. It doesn’t even have to be fancy. The best thing would be if I can work the wood with a chainsaw. I thought perhaps using them as some sort of garden boarder. The white oak should hold up pretty well outside.
Thanks for any suggestions…Chuck
