The picture below is a half inch thick 23.75" square Glacier White Corian panel I dye-sublimated for SolidSurface.com this week. The panel will be the centerpiece of a nine panel display for their booth at IWF in Atlanta in a couple weeks. When IWF opens on August 20th they will send me a picture of the assembled wall and I will share the picture.

The Corian panel blank was polished using 3M Trizac disks before placing it in my heat press and transferring the graphic.

The companion handwriting pens for this project can be seen here (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?220531-Laser-Engraved-Pens-for-SolidSurface-com&p=2297424#post2297424).

Very nice Keith...
I do love working with Corian in the laser and cnc. We just got our Geo Knight press and I can't wait to do something with dye sub. How long does something like that stay in the press?

Jerry,

The magic numbers are:

1/2" thick Corian takes 20 minutes at 320 degrees F.
1/4" thick Corian takes 10 minutes at 320 degrees F.

Conde.com has a 44" wide dye-sub printer and they offer print services for jobs that are too big for your machine or at times when your printer is out of service. Their fees are very reasonable, I have used them on several projects.

That is a show piece-literally. Really nice work.

Did you look into elements for your press?

Mike,

I haven't had the time to look for new elements for the 26 by 34 press yet but I have a friend who I may be able to contract the job which is better for me as I don't normally do electrical repair.

Jerry, I have a George Knight press that is 16" by 12" that I use for small dye-sub jobs. It has been a real work horse for several years.

As promised I have attached a picture of the dye-sublimated panel I made that was installed in the booth that Solid Surface.com had at IWF 2014 in Atlanta.
