Hi to all,

I need to find a masking tape like the one we use to mask acrylic for painting or engrave protecting. The trick is that masking tape has to be:
- hi temperature resist (180C or more);
- safe to laser cut (vector cut).
The aplication is powder coating with multiple colors. I know the powder coating operators use Oracal, but I think that is PVC (NO NO for laser).
Can somebody point me to the right vendor (UK preferably)?

Thank you in advance
Gabi

Kapton tape, good for about 400c.

No idea on adhesive or laser capabilities.

You're going to have a tough time getting something really useful from Kapton with a CO2 laser (at least at the typical 10.6um wavelengths most of us use). You'll be better off finder another material.
