This has been the week for us to help the Wisconsin economy. Yesterday, I ordered a new Trek road bike for my wife for our 36th anniversary. She doesn't know that I have ordered her bike, so it will be a surprise for her when it comes next week.

Being the wonderful, loving and supportive wife that she is, she has given me permission to make a purchase for the shop. So today I ordered my Robust AB. (She said something about that covering me for our anniversary, my birthday and Christmas. She also said something about being able to pick the colors for painting the inside of the house http://www.woodturnersresource.com/yabb2files/Templates/Forum/woody/grin.gif) Unfortunately, I will have to wait until the last part of Sept to get my AB http://www.woodturnersresource.com/yabb2files/Templates/Forum/woody/sad.gif But, that will give me some time to get the shop reorganized http://www.woodturnersresource.com/yabb2files/Smilies/023.gif I'll keep you all posted and I'll be sure to post some pictures when it comes.

She'll forget all about it by Christmas, so I think you'll still be on Santa's list...

Congrats, I'm envious! A Robust lathe is definitely on my list for one of these days!

As a Wisconsin resident, I know I speak for my fellow Badgers when I thank you for your patronage and remind you that there is terrific beer, cheese and timber to be found here as well.

Now just buy a new Harley and I'm pretty sure you get the cheese/beer basket from the governor.

I would say that a Robust lathe would cover a couple of years worth of birthdays and anniversaries. Congrats. I hope you are getting her all the upgrades possible on the bike.
