Can anyone tell me where this saw comes from. It is strange to me.293883293884293885

Sears Craftsman Hollow ground stainless steel.

Too hard for me to hand sharpen.
They'll likely never rust, but I couldn't get mine sharp.

Jim,
Thank you for your response, I would have never thought of Craftsman on this one, even though they have come out with some innovative type tools over the years. Wow, now I have a Simond, A #7 Disston, and a Craftsman saw that are not users, but keepsakes.

Printed on the side (not etched) is;
Sears craftsman
Made in usa kromedge
Taper ground
Chrome nickel moly steel
26 in 8pt coarse crosscut

Nothing about it being stainless, and it does seem to have a few small rust spots on it.
I have heard that was made by atkins.

Use the D7.

They're excellent.

After I get over shoulder surgery, the D-7 is my next saw project. I don't know, but cleaning up saws may be good exercise for shoulder muscles, after a time for healing and with doctor approval, of course. I have fallen into the fettling trap. Help! I just can't help it, somebody slap me!

Bridger,
Thanks for the info. It is a really big help.
