Can Anyone help ID ?

Purchased 2nd hand from Hawaii... I was told it was Kamani, but upon further research, it looks more like Milo.

Thanks in advance

It might produce results, yet.

That stuff looks like fine Jade,
to me. I'm curious, myself.

I wonder if a guitar making forum would have more responses?

Heavy, is it?

milo is certainly a strong contender but I'm not familiar w/ Kamani so couldn't say about it.

Thanks -

I'm making a "wood run" to Hawaii next month since I can't find anyone willing to sell & ship to the mainland

I may just bring the samples with me to do an on site comparison and go from there

I have some kamani that came from Maui and it doesn't look like that. It is much more pink. But then again not every tree is the same. Mike, where will you be going on the islands to buy wood? We have been to maui several times and there are several people that will sell wood but it is hard to find them. Thanks Jared

I don't think it's milo. Milo is not usually colored like that. It could be kamani, since kamani has a lot of variations.

Just curious, what are those?
