No LCD Display

I was running a job on Saturday and glanced down at the LCD display which is lite up however there is no text showing. Does anyone have a clue what the problem could be?

LCD ribbon cable fallen off where it connects to the board with the switches? - It has happened to me!

Hopefully it's something simple like a cable. Mine lost text, and had to replace the whole unit..Abt. $700.00
