angled bench legs

I am making several benches, and I want to use legs that are at an angle the top, penetrate through the top, and are glued in or force fit. I have square chisels and a Fox mortising set up, so how do I set up the top?

If all the legs will be inserted at the same angle,
prop up the table top on the base of your mortising machine
with the same wedge beneath it.

Drive the legs through the holes and cut them off flush.

Angled how? Are the legs going to be parallel or at opposing angles (like in Schwarz's Nicholson work bench)? Will you have stretchers running between them?

Editing to amplify on this... I can envision designs that might be better done with a laminated, built-up mortise, whether for a utilitarian project like a work bench or fine furniture. So just knowing more about what you have in mind might help raise other possibilities.
