Nicholson rasps

I have recently bought a bunch of nicholson rasps, some NOS, some slightly used and some not. The stash include four #50, two #46 and one #55. What is the equivalent cut of the #46 and #55 compared to Auriou or Liogier.

Good question.I don't know of a way to tell without actually comparing them in real life to Auriou or Ligonier rasps.
I looked through some on-line Nicholson file catalogs,hoping to find some charts of pattern maker's rasp teeth, but couldn't find any.Maybe there is one in a catalog out there, but I couldn't find one.
If they need sharpening, I recommend Boggs Tool Processing.

Rick thanks for the reply. I also checked the online catalogs and couldn't find the answer. Counting the teeth and comparing to auriou or Liogier seems to be the answer. On a side note Liogier has suspended sales on their website because of a heavy backlog.
