Unique Atkins saw vice

I post pics of this occasionally to see if anyone has ever seen one before or have any info on it. I saw it on a wagon at an auction, had to pay $35 for it plus 3 hours waiting for it to come up. It is an absolute joy to use since it is so long and heavy, 22-1/2" long. I fastened it to a block of wood that I can bolt to my traveling workbench. The right back post is welded at the bottom where it apparently broke at some point, it's only detraction but a good job of repair, does not affect use. If you have any old Atkins catalogs I would appreciate a quick glance in the saw vice section to see if it is advertised.

That's a good price for a vice that long.

I had one like that a couple of years ago. It had also been broken & repaired. Maybe they were a poor design prone to breaking?
