So the china machine that I have says 0-45c. I always thought that 45c was too high. I thought 30c was about the max. Have I been wrong all this time?

Yes and No, run a fatbody tube above 23 degrees and you will start reducing the life in short order. the machine will run to 45 degrees but the water temp won't before you kill the tube pretty quick.

the temperature of 45 C is the maximum water temperature before the tube gets destroyed in a very very short time, sometimes just minutes ,
the max operating temperature for a long live and max cutting power is 25C. with every degree higher you loose about 5% power and at 30 C the glue starts to soften and mostly the gas starts to escape.
