Finally,
The contractors showed up with a concrete truck and poured my floor today!!!! Now for it to dry, then close in one (of two) garage doors, and start putting insulation up. To bad I have fence to build while I am waiting :-)

I'm trying this. Here are some pics of the new shop. It was an apartment building YEARs ago and the floor flooded so previous owners took the floor out and put garage doors in. I am planning on framing out the garage door that is open to cut down on the drafts, and putting R board/OSB up all the way around the walls. There is a second floor above this that will be a cold storage area for now.

Thanks
Shane

I messed that up --- the inline pics are of the shop. The attached are of my other current project - Fencing in the yard. I have a question in the woodworking forum for that.

Thanks for letting me share and I would love to hear any thoughts

Now would be the best time to put a sealer on that concrete....

What are the dimensions? I live in Michigan which I assume has about the same weather as SE Montana. THe best money I spent on my shop was on insulation, drywall, and very bright white high gloss paint. On those dark winter days and nights, it feels like summer in there.

Dennis
The new floor is 27x27 roughly. It has some insulation in it, but I'm putting up some r board and osb as the summer goes on. I plan on painting it white when I'm done.
