When can we see the article? Which magazine?

I always enjoy your posts, Bob, and look forward to seeing them in print.

BTW, I use "Old Brown Glue" hide glue for my joints, and have used LV 2002 GF glue for joining boards edge to edge. Is there a problem with creep on the LV glue? If so, what kind of glue (brand names encouraged) would you use for gluing up panels? Thanks!

Looking forward to your article.

Actually, I was a bit taken aback looking at Santa in that pic....because for some reason, when I look in the mirror every morning, I still see this guy:

Hey, what's an infantry guy doing swabbee work for:eek::D:D I still say between you and maybe 2 other people on this site it's an absolute toss up as to who is the most professional!

I really enjoy your work and, most inportantly, your explanations as to what your doing. Now if I could find a dictionary as to nautical terms I've have it made:rolleyes: I just noticed. Is that a Ranger patch on your uniform?

Hey, what's an infantry guy doing swabbee work for...

I wuz drafted.

Then they said they'd give me a free ride back to finish college if I gave them 4 years at whatever job they decided on.

I said OK.

They said, "You're a forest biologist...we've the perfect job match...airborne ranger infantry."

I said sure.

At the time, I didn't have a clue what that was....I thought I was gonna be some kind of glorified game warden at a big post like Fort Bragg.

My Grandparents were Mennonite pacificsts.

The first airplane I ever rode in I jumped out of at 1100' AGL onto Fryer Field in Alabama.

Truth can be stranger than fiction.

Well, drafted or not I'm still impressed! After all you still had to go through the training and pass it. As to jumping out of perfectly good airplanes:rolleyes: the drill seargent at Ft. Bragg told us only 2 things fell from the skies " bird ---- and fools". I don't think you either one.

Quote; "You're a forest biologist...we've the perfect job match...airborne ranger infantry."

ROTFL. Only in the military is a leap of logic like that possible

I look forward to the article. You have a rare ability to teach and pass on knowledge, magazine article or not. Congratulations Bob, you deserve the recognition.
