Warped plywood

From time to time people asked about how to take the warp out of plywood.

I use a lot of sheets of ply with aluminum bonded to one side. Because of this it warps easily. Today I took a sheert out that was warped so I put it on the grass in the hot sun (i.e. 70 deg) with the wood face down on the grass and in about 1/2 hour the warp was gone.

If I tryd that here my plywood and warp would be gone in minutes maybe seconds.The recyclers around here will take anything.

I had a sheet of badly warped 3/8 AC. Laminated 2 pieces together for the back of a cabinet. Weights and clamps to pull it flat, and glue to keep it that way.
