Late Night Tool Gloat - Sawstop ICS

Sunday night I found a 3hp, 52" Sawstop ICS with rolling base listed three hours earlier. Terms of sale were Pick Up Only (no delivery) with a buy it now price of $2766.

Immediately I suspected something may be wrong with the saw. Wrote the seller to verify condition, he claimed everything was fine. I also discovered I would be covered by Ebay guaranty - if it is not as described I will get my money back.

I made a few phone calls and offered a friend some dough to drive over and pick it up with me.

Once transport, condition, and knowing I was protected by Ebay I bought that badboy!

Drover out there tonight.
Tested it, works fine.
All parts were there.
Disassembled and brought it home.

Sadly it was a torrential downpour and even though it was in a covered truck the cast iron did get damp and rusted on the 2.5 hour trip. I cleaned that up with some rust free. I will post pics one it is reassembled.

This was a wicked win win.
My wife had approved a PCS purchase and I really wanted an ICS. I managed to get an ICS at a massive saving over the PCS!

This may be the third best/luckiest decision I have ever made in life:
1. Marrying my wife
2. Buying a house at the bottom of the market
3. Scoring this saw.

Since I have it completely taken apart I will post a bunch of photos of the internal assemblies, etc. When I was looking for saws I wanted to see this information and could not readily find it.

Congrat's. It's a very good saw.
I had to disassemble it to fit into my car and take it down the basement. Very well built saw.
