Part of a four item feebay buy awhile back. Got it all cleaned up and sharp. However, there is not a single mark or number on it, other than COLUMBIA stamped into the iron291591it is a knuckle cap, with a two piece knuckle. Handi-grip sides. 291592 Brass knob on front, and the eccentric is just plain, unmarked steel. Adjustable throat plate has no markings. There is a center rib to it. The depth adjuster is brass, and has lefthand threads291593 Bottom is flat as can be. Lateral uses a bearing to slide the iron side to side. No marks on the lateral, either. Japanning is black. Would this be a Stanley made for a hardware chain plane? length is 6-3/16", and the iron is1-5/8" wide. The "bed" the iron sits on is 3/4" wide, and smooth. Notches in the iron are a bit wide. Any ideas out there.

Still haven't found anything on this old Block Plane. Just about everthing on it seems to say "STANLEY!" but the ONLY markings on it is the stamped COLUMBIA on the iron. There is a 3/4" long bed for the iron to sit on. Iron is now sharp, and will take see through shavings, with ease. Nice little block plane. It will even do better than the Millers Falls 1455 Low Angle Block plane. May try it out against the Stanley 9-1/2 I have. Wonder which will win....
