Went treasure hunting the other day, runour had it a lathe was down in the shop.....somewhere. Dug around, fought with a plastic bag, threw some old boxes aside, and THIS landed on my workbench291404claimed to be a lahte. Ok, had some red oak milled down to make a few legs for a table. Gave one a spin291405I only used four lathe chisels. Nothing really fancy, a bit out of practise. Next thing I knew there were two legs done291406Sanded to 220 grit. Then with the blanks on "Spin cycle", I pressed a piece of scrap wood onto the spinning blank, hard. Seemed to [polish it up. Got all four legs done, and glued up into a base for a small table291407So, I guess the rumour was true? There WAS a lathe down there...
