was a"Blue Racer" sort of thingy290529Might have been about fifty cents. :D These took a rool of sandpaper, stored inside the body. Wire clamp where the paper came out. wrap it around the "nose", and then close the bar clamp thing onto a new section of the roll. This one MIGHT have been a "Blue Grass" item.

Right now, I took a worn out sanding belt, and made a strip of it to fit the sander.

Now, i have to look for the rolls of sandpaper to fit this thing....:D

Looks like more work than just using a block of wood.

Lately I have been cutting a sheet of sandpaper into quarters. The small sheets are then folded into quarters with one seam cut so it can be folded without abrasive surface rubbing against another abrasive surface and use them as small sanding pads.

It works great for me.

Just remember:

My Dad had a red one exactly like yours... It must have been the "Red State" version...

I can't recall who made that first. I used to see them advertised, and would see them in the stores now and again. Ths one looks like it was made under contract for someone else. Purty color.

I got one exactly like that from my dad's stuff, remember using it as a kid.
