A DEWALT DWP611PK for $128.99 from Amazon.

That price is just too doggone good to pass up.

Happy belated birthday and happy father's day to me!

I'm pretty sure the plunge base uses standard PC inserts right?

I am in too. I have been wanting a handheld compact router I could use a DC port on that the port was not below the router on the fixed base.

The 611 has an adapter for DC for the fixed base and plunge base for less than $10 ea.

TY Rich.

That little router is seriously one of my favorite tools. Now if only I could get it to work with the LR32!

Yes. Oddly, though, the fixed base does not.

The one they sold me only fits the plunge base.

Jamie, there's one for each:

Solid purchase, I love my 611. Use it way more than I probably should.

I am pretty sure you can make it work with the LR32. I did drill holes on the LR32 plate in the past to use it with the DW621, I would think you can do the same with the DW611. In fact, that is exactly what I plan to do with my new LR32 (had sold the old one) if I think the OF 1400 is too bulky to use with it. I always chuckle when people don't want to drill holes on their workbench or slightly modify their tools. They are just tools, go for it...

WOW. I paid $165 for this on May 13th. Talk about your bad timing. Although I've already used it on two jobs where it was the perfect tool for the task and it performed flawlessly so I was glad I had it. You guys are going to love it.

Maybe I'll use the promo to get that DeWalt 4 1/2" grinder I've been wanting for over a year now to ease my pain...

You lucky dog. I have one and love it. Problem is I paid $175 in 2012 and thought I did good. Got an idea Rich, I will trade you mine for yours then I will have the $129 one. :D

Yes. Oddly, though, the fixed base does not.

Should not be too bad to cnc cut one out that works with regular PC inserts. I will check it out when mine arrives. Do it in uhmw too. Would be a pretty slick base..pun intended.

You can purchase the clear round sub-base that accepts PC template guide bushings. About $6.50 on Amazon.
Great little router. Have had it for a couple of years and use it all the time. Quite a lot of power for a little router.

The fixed default base for the 611 is the D-base which does not accept PC inserts but for $6.49 you can buy a round one that does.

Spoken like a true accountant ;).

Speaking of accounting - - - since I have to use this router on a job @ one of the rentals, guess what's also a tax deduction - as well as a great deal ? :D

Sometimes our need for tools and our wanting to save a dollar trumps everything else: "I'm so broke it aint funny - but I had to order one" That really is funny. We're tool guys, we don't need a reason to buy a tool and we sure don't need to 'splain it to anyone else...

Amazon will place the router on a "lightning deal" at 2:00 PM Central time today. It doesn't say the prices now, but I am sure it will be closet to that price. Good Luck!
