I remember seeing a demo of an online app (written in Adobe Flash, I think) that imported DXF files and outputted G-Code. It looked pretty snazzy, but I can't find it again. Anyone know what I'm talking about and maybe have a link?

There's also MakerCAM which will accept SVG --- one can use Inkscape to convert DXF to SVG:

A DXF needs to have its vectors assigned to specific toolpaths before the gcode is generated. That is what the CAM does. It would take a pretty customizable online app and even that you would want to save specifics for your machine. Gcode is very specific to the function you want the machine to perform. Maybe the app you speak of does that. Generic Gcode is worthless.
