Interesting. What is the solution you use to patina the the copper Jack? Your videos are always enjoyable!

those look great. I'm curious, though, why you don't use copper nails.

peter its gun black. its an acid and you can get it at a number of places. you can make it your self too though i never have. Makes the cooper go green in about a year.

Dave because i am blackening the brass is better for strength. I don't think you can get copper brads this small ether?

I have restored a number of old windows here in Ohio and there is usually an extra piece of wood moulding on top of the casing called a water table that supports the flashing out an extra inch or so. Ever run into that?

when I built this Dolphin, I sand blasted it to get down to clean copper then wiped it down with green patina stuff I got from the roofing place
