...the worlds smallest Linux computer (http://www.picotux.com/indexe.html). Stuff like this could revolutionize CNC and other things in our shops!! ;)

Indeed, this was posted on Slashdot (http://www.slashdot.org) a few months ago, but I couldn't view it (they were being Slashdotted ;) ).

Thanks for the post, I had forgotten to go back once their web servers were back online!

I'd be too afraid the cats would start eyeing it lovingly as their new toy to bash around the room. For now, I'll just have to stick with the platforms that are too big for them to launch airborne and swallow.:D

If they could ditch the DB and RJ45 connectors it could be a whole lot smaller.

So what's the clock speed, how much RAM, and what's the size of the hard drive? BTW, where do I insert a DVD?:D:cool:

There is a "more information" link just below the picture of the thang...this is for embedded applications so it's capablities are meager compared to the PCs we use for general purposes, like surfing SMC.

I'm afraid that what's missing in this story comes from the fact that the press release misspelled the name of the computer. It's really a Linus computer that was originally designed to fit in the Peanuts cartoon frame. There was also a "PigPen" version, but they couldn't keep if from overheating.

Just guessing here, but probably no internet.

It runs an IP stack, so there is no reason that it couldn't access the Internet. Telnet and web services are in there, according to the specs. Both are common management interfaces, anyway.
