pepper and salt

Tried my hand at shaftless pepper and salt grinders. The absence of the shaft gives a lot of design freedom. I tried to be a bit original and yet still practical.
The wood is eastern maple coloured with water-based aniline dyes and sealed with lacquer.

very nice idea. however if there are kids in the house, i would be afraid of them tipping over. also moisture getting in the salt. lol
