If you search on Youtube for Lyle Jamieson, you will find some. Lyle sells DVD's that will give you much more instruction.

I don't do much hollowing, but like all other phases of turning, every one does it differently. When I do hollow, I prefer my McNaughton coring tools, in their handles and free hand for all the roughing. I use a D frame type handle for deeper forms, and the laser light. I have a Monster articulated system. I have found that it isn't great for roughing out the inside, but is really great for finish cuts. The arms give the system a little flex, which results in some bounce. I can finish cut down to 8 or so inches deep, but hollowing/roughing that deep is difficult, and you have to go really slow.
