Another plane for you to look at that I actually do put to use pretty regularly: Its a simple, unmarked skewed rabbet plane with a W. Marples & Sons stamped blade. The wood is the big mystery to me-- looks like mahogany but it's very hard, heavy and dense.
I assume it's British? And assuming this is the original blade its probably mid-late 19th century-ish? Thoughts?
