Can somebody tell me how to get stringy trash out of the tube?

hi ray, you might try..poly( oxyethylene) dimethyliminio) ethylene.
(dimethyliminio)
( ethylene dichloride).
market under the name...pondcare algae fix,available at aquarium shops.

I did it once by using compressed air. I felt that there was a significant risk of over pressurizing and cracking the tubing so I used extreme care. With the tube dry the gunk came out readily.
So, it worked pretty well, but I feel that using that method is risky. Some people (like myself) think that they have a feel for such things. So if you are one of those types then maybe it would work for you too.
