Ridgid band saw parts

The old plastic table insert bit the dust, so I went to Ridgid parts on-line. For some reason the order entry part of their site was down. So I Googled and found ereplacementparts, but they said the part was obsolete, no longer being manufactured or available. I went to 1800toolrepair, and then toolpartsdirect and got the same answer. All of the sites used the same Ridgid schematic and same parts list.

So the next day I went back to the Ridgid site and was able to order 5 of these inserts for a total cost of $10.25 including shipping and handling.
Somehow it seems odd that these other parts suppliers who pop up at the top of the Google list were so in tune with each other, but not in tune with reality.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes. Just remember, the internet is a dangerous playground if you forget that things are not always what they seem ;-)
