Hi all. I've been reading postings on edgelit signs until I'm just about blue in the face:) I've finally (I think) sourced my materials, but have a couple of questions: Is a 12" high cast acrylic panel too high? It looks like most folks are sticking to about half that height. Also, (and this may sound really stupid) how are they getting the really dark background? Are they just turning the lights off when the picture is taken, or perhaps putting a black film on the reverse side? Thanks!289145

I did a 12 x 18 panel some time back that worked just fine. I did the job for a sign company to go in a bar. They sent a picture, which I can't locate, but which looked great.

Well, I did find it. It's the Grey goose sign.

Thanks, Mike. Did you use two panels, one w/blue lights and one with white, or is the white showing because its mounted on a white background?

I just used clear acrylic. I don't know what the sign company did for lighting though it looks like they used one top and bottom.
