Help with hinge selection

I am planning on using Vertex stop hinges for the memory box I am making for my daughter. The lid is 5/8" x 12" x 18". The walls of the box are also 5/8" stock.

Anyone use Vertex hinges?

Do you think this 1 1/2" hinge is OK?

Of should I go up to yhe 2" version?

Those are some spendy hinges! I wouldn't go with any larger than 1 1/2" unless you wanted to go with a more substantial look. Those seem like solid hinges so don't think that support would be an issue.
